Agreement
This User Agreement is between you and the Cascade team and governs your use of Cascade. By installing or using Cascade, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and accept these terms for you.
License to use Cascade
The Cascade team grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Cascade for lawful, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store where you obtained it.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, exploit, or distribute Cascade except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Game rules and progress
Cascade includes word boards, scores, combos, daily streaks, stages, stars, stamps, and other game features. We may tune dictionaries, scoring, difficulty, rewards, or progression to improve balance and reliability.
Scores and progress can be lost if you clear app storage, uninstall the app, change devices, or encounter a technical failure. Cascade does not currently provide an account or cloud-backup service.
Coins and virtual items
Coins, stamps, streak freezes, hints, extra time, and similar items are virtual game features. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside Cascade.
We may change the availability, balance, or rules for virtual items. We will not describe a virtual reward as purchased unless the app offers a real-money transaction for it.
Advertising
Cascade may show ads at natural breaks and may offer optional rewarded ads. A reward is granted only after the advertising provider confirms completion. Ad availability is not guaranteed. Closing or failing to complete an ad may mean that no reward is issued.
Notifications and floating reminders
If you enable them, Cascade may send board reminders, streak updates, and play shortcuts. If you grant display-over-other-apps permission, reminders may appear in a floating window. These features are optional and can be disabled in Cascade or Android settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Cascade for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity;
- tamper with the app, bypass security, automate play, manipulate rewards, or falsify results;
- introduce malware or disrupt the app or its service providers; or
- infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
Ownership
Cascade, including its software, design, artwork, sounds, text, and branding, belongs to the Cascade team or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
Third-party services
Cascade may use or link to third-party services such as app stores, analytics, attribution, and advertising providers. Their services are governed by their own terms. The Cascade team does not control third-party availability or content.
Updates and availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue part or all of Cascade. We may require an update for security, compatibility, or continued use. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or error-free.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Cascade is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Cascade team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress, profits, or goodwill arising from Cascade. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using Cascade and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or if continued access creates legal, security, or operational risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms as Cascade changes. We will publish the revised terms here and update the effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
The laws that apply to this agreement and any mandatory consumer protections depend on where you live and where the Cascade team operates. Before starting formal proceedings, contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.
